AU Background:
A long time ago, near the beginning of when humans began to exist, many shamans came together and sacrificed their life, creating the immortal Emperor. He had one true goal, to unite humanity so they could be prepared for a major threat in the future; the creation of the Rift and the coming corruption as he had foresaw it. He lived throughout history as various people, both famous and unheard of, trying different plans to unite humanity into one force.
The Emperor came the closest using brute force. In the Unification Wars, the Emperor used his great knowledge he had earned through history to make a prototype of a race of superhumans with magic and selective breeding. With this race of beings, he brought Belka together under his rule, creating an Imperium of Man. There was little respite after as he began to wage a vast war against the current threat, the corruption that demons and Dark Gods had unleashed upon man. Refining his research, he helped give birth to 20 superhumans which he called Primarchs, using himself as the father. Using these Primarchs, he had them breed to create a superhuman army which he called the Astartes with the Primarchs leading their respective legions. With this new army, he began a Great Crusade against all that plagued humanity, bringing great prosperity to human kind.
The end of this prosperity struck when his favored son, Horus, was corrupted, along with half of the other Primarchs and their legions of super soldiers. What became known as the Horus Heresy ended in Horus being killed but fatally wounding the Emperor. As the Emperor lay dying, he used the last of his powers to ascend to godhood, something that he previously despised but recognized in himself. Eventually, he would be known as the God-Emperor and an entire religion would be attributed to things the Emperor may or may not have done.
But that wasn't the end to his plan. No, once the amount of believers in the God of Humanity reached a critical point, the Emperor would be reborn in physical form again and he planned to unite humanity a second time. And this time, the calamity that he foresaw will be destroyed while it existed.
Personality:
Science and logic. Well, that's what the Emperor used to be about. His death and second coming to these lands turned something else inside him. The Emperor once felt that having a mind free from sorcery and the spiritual was the best defense against the daemons of old. Now, the unending faith of humans has shown him that belief can also be a strong guard against the evils of the world. He also knows that it can lead one to great evil and corruption, making it a double edged sword. But a double edged blade that can cut is better than a dull blade that bludgeons, in the Emperor's opinion.
He also has great dreams and aspirations. Ones he believes that he is destined to be at the front of. His largest dream is leading humanity as a united front against everything in the world that would stand against it. Evil, mutants, fae, and warp spawn are all things that the Emperor would see destroyed before the great hammer of Humanity. None will stand except for human kind. Only with abhumans such as beastmen is he lenient, accepting them into his fold as lower class citizens.
The Emperor isn't an unbending fool, either. For those that do not represent corruption, he is willing to temporarily ally with to achieve more local goals. However, he would take advantage of their weakness any chance he got. He is not an honorable man with beings outside of humanity because such beings were never capable of honor in the first place. Humans that will not join his cause are also considered lost causes and any measure will be taken to either bring them into the fold or annihilate them.
Great intelligence combined with psychic power, ambition, and cunning makes the Emperor the greatest human the world has ever seen. He is truly a deity in mortal form, leading his legions to victory. Learning from past mistakes has made him even more dangerous to those who would stand against him.
Combat Style: While the Emperor is capable of combat, he is certainly not the best at it. During his crusade against demons, he often found himself in spots where his sons had to come save him. When he does fight, he prefers to use a pair of powered claws on armor of one hand and a sword in the other.
What makes the Emperor so amazing is his psychic powers. He can shoot mind bullets and whip up a storm with telekinetic abilities. His might is great but that isn't what makes it amazing. What makes it amazing is that normal humans can't help but see him as a holy figure due to his powers. Of course, skepticism or blind belief elsewhere will blur that vision but a glowing halo, an irresistible presence, and being seen as a bigger person than he actually is a strong indicator that the Emperor is more than just human. To non-humans, he appears as a great man who glows brightly and purely but he is still just a man.
In short, his fighting style is to have others fight for him. And fight until they die, they will, hoping to please the one they worship as they ascend to the afterlife.
Kingdom or Faction: None at the moment. In the future, if he has enough followers, he may create the Imperium of Man but not now.
Primary Role: None.
Soldier or Siege Company: N/A
Tarot Cards:
The Emperor
The Hierophant
The Chariot
Title: The God-Emperor of Mankind (deal with it)
Artifacts: None
Setting Considerations: The Emperor is a man of the long past who is exactly what he appears in his history. If possible, during the time of his rule and after his death, could some of the people living in that time invent the Imperial Cult, which eventually evolved into different other religions along the way but generally carried the same message?
Notes: N/A
Sample Post:
Question: What does your presence bring to your kingdom?
It brings prosperity but also war. But it is a war that will bring greatness to all of humanity in the end.
Question: Why do you deserve to rule this land?
My whole life has been dedicated to ruling humans. I was created for that purpose, I lived for that purpose, and I will achieve it.
Question: What is god to you?
There is no god but I. Perhaps earlier, I would have said gods are false hopes that do not exist. Now, I tell you that I am god.
Question: What do you do in the face of great adversity?
Become a greater adversity. For everything that exists, there will be something greater and I will make sure that something is me.
Question: For what cause are you willing to sacrifice yourself?
The prosperity of humanity. Of all things, I am willing to die to make sure humans will live without threat to themselves.
Question: What do you want people to remember about you after you are gone?
Everything. They should know who granted them greatness and how they can follow my example to keep it.
Question: A celebration is being held in your honor. Lavish food, gifts, and even people are offered at your table. What do you take or do in celebration of your achievements?
I will take all that is given to me. Many live with little and the things they give come from the bottom of their hearts. That is what makes them human and I will honor that.
Question: Everything you love and held dear has been taken from you in the blink of an eye. What do you do?
Get it back or die trying. There should be no other option.
Question: What do you make of your dreams?
I take heed of my dreams for they could be fortunes of the future. Delving into the aether is an unpredictable thing but warnings and visions should not be ignored.
Question: At the end of the journey, what remains in your satchel?
Hope. For myself and human kind.
